I have been dabbling in photography since I was a young child...and I have the scars to prove it. At the age of 11 a flashbulb blew up in my face and created the somewhat subtle scar on the left side of my forehead...however I kept on clicking away...capturing moments. These moments are the essence of my photography. Bits and pieces of time and light and life.
I have been an actor for 28 years and sometime ago I was approached to shoot a friends head shots. I was terrified until I realized wait, I’m an actor...I’ll do this the way I’ve always wanted it done. So I treat a shoot as an acting exercise...trying to get the actor to ‘connect’ to real emotions, because that is going to make for a good headshot. Real moments captured in time.
